FALL Challenge Finale

I reached a point since the last update where I just said, “screw the FALL challenge.” My daughter was away from home in the days leading up the Thanksgiving and all I wanted to do was cuddle on the couch with the little man. I completely lost my enthusiasm. Not one to sweep my failure under the rug though, let’s tally this up and see how I did. I’ve added a little commentary for the ones I haven’t talked about yet and linked the others to their update respective posts.

1) Take a drive to look at the changing leaves DONE
2) Drink a pumpkin latte DONE
3) Eat something that really shouldn’t be pumpkin flavored DONE
4) Carve a pumpkin FAIL
5) Create a centerpiece with gourds FAIL [who wants to buy gourds just to toss them a week later?]
6) Visit a pumpkin patch FAIL
7) Go trick-or-treating DONE
8) Buy candy corn, but probably don’t eat it DONE
9) Tell a ghost story DONE
10) Smores! FAIL [the temperature warmed up again and smores no longer sounded appetizing]
11) Drink cider FAIL [same reasoning as the smores]
12) Poke cloves into oranges for another centerpiece FAIL [I may still do this one, but all I was interested in this week was decorating with colorful ornaments.]
13) Wear an adorable knitted hat DONE
14) Roast pumpkin seeds FAIL
15) Create a fall-themed wreath DONE
16) Make a turkey out of a handprint FAIL [with the daughter gone, this seemed silly]
17) Watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! FAIL
18) Make food that tastes delicious, but looks like something scary or disgusting DONE
19) Go apple picking FAIL [ha, nope]
20) Make an apple pie FAIL [I bought a pumpkin pie instead.]

Completed: 9/20, 45%
Verdict: Eh, I had a good time. Happy Fall Fail!
